Police Identify Man Shot To Death In NW OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY -

Police have identified a man who was shot to death in northwest Oklahoma City, Wednesday night.

According to police, just after 6 p.m., officers responded to the report of a possible shooting in the area of N.W. 2nd and Penn. Officers arrived and found the victim, later identified as 43-year-old Ruben Alvaro Gonzalez.

Gonzalez was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Witnesses reported seeing two suspects flee the scene in the victim’s vehicle. The victim’s vehicle was later recovered abandoned in the area of N.W. 3rd and Douglas Ave.

There have been no arrests in this case. Anyone with information should call the Homicide tip-line at (405)-297-1200.

This is Oklahoma City's 58th homicide of 2015, according to police.
