Under bright lights, and in front of cameras, kids practice what it's like to be a sidelines reporter.

"Kinda scary, I was nervous," said David Ibarra after interviewing one kid about running track.

This isn't a classroom project, but the brainchild of Rick Wilson.

He started kidsonlysportsmagazine.com after watching a pee wee football game where there were hundreds of fans.

"I had a camcorder and I was filming and everybody was asking 'could you film my kid?” said Wilson.

The KOSM kids interview their sports playing friends of all ages and write stories about them. Their interviews appear online.

The kids work the cameras, the lights and switch between shots during their studio interviews using a computer.

Austin Dedmon signed up for KOSM because he thought it would be fun.

"We had a production meeting, it was actually a pool party," says Dedmon about his first KOSM experience.

The group hopes to cover upcoming Pee Wee football tournaments and eventually high school events as well.
