Summertime Heat Continues Thursday Across Oklahoma

The summertime heat continues today. Highs will once again be slightly above average topping out in the mid 90s.

It's hotter out west today as highs climb into the upper 90s. Look for a south breeze today at 10 to 20 mph. That breeze will at least provide some relief in the shade.

The heat continues into early next week. An unsettled pattern will shape up through mid week with off and on rain and storm chances. Better rain chances will arrive towards the end of the week when a strong cold front moves in. Some severe storms will even be possible.

Behind the front, temperatures will be knocked back into the 60s in the mornings and only in the low 80s in the afternoon.
