OKLAHOMA CITY -

Oklahoma City police said the site of a motorcycle hanging out of the trunk of a car led them on high speed chase overnight.

It happened near I-240 and Santa Fe. Police tried to pull over the man and woman who were in the silver Pontiac after seeing the motorcycle in its trunk. Instead the driver sped off and led police on a high speed chase. The motorcycle flew out of the car during the chase.

Eventually stop sticks caused the tires to blow out near S.W. 55th and Santa Fe at about 11:45 p.m. Wednesday. Police discovered the motorcycle was stolen. It was returned to the owner.

Both the man and woman were taken into police custody. No one was injured.

Police have not identified the suspects at this time.
