Edmond Santa Fe HS Senior Killed In Metro Traffic Accident

One person died Sunday afternoon after a fatality accident in Edmond, police said.

One person died Sunday afternoon after a fatality accident in Edmond, police said.

The accident happened on W 15 Street at Creston Way. 

The accident was single-vehicle accident, Edmond police spokeswoman Jennifer Monroe said.

Trevor Wade Allen, 17, of Edmond, was driving a vehicle eastbound when it went off the roadway across westbound traffic and hit a tree on the other side of the road, Monroe said.

Allen died as a result of the accident. He was a student at Edmond Santa Fe High School.

Edmond Public Schools spokeswoman Susan Parks Schlepp released a statement Sunday night: 

"Edmond Public Schools is heartbroken by the tragic loss of Santa Fe senior Trevor Allen. We extend our sincere condolences to his family at this difficult time.

Trevor was a very outgoing individual who loved people and was considered a friend to all. A team of counselors from Santa Fe as well as Edmond North and Edmond Memorial will be available for the next several days to assist students and staff members as they grieve his loss."
