Driver Ran Away From Law Officers After Pursuit In OKC

A man ran away from law enforcement Saturday night after officers stopped the vehicle for a traffic violation, authorities said.

A trooper pulled over a vehicle near SE 45 and Shields and after talking to the occupants, the vehicle drove away. The vehicle crashed into another vehicle at SE 45 and Durland, troopers said.

The driver, identified as Timothy Golden, got out of the vehicle and ran away. Law officers caught the passenger. The passenger's identity was not released Saturday.

A search was initiated but has since been called off.
