OSBI Investigating After Body Discovered In Newcastle Motel Room

NEWCASTLE, Oklahoma -

Agents with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation were called to assist police after officer located a body in a Newcastle motel room on Friday. And they are looking for a man who may be connected.

Around noon Friday, Newcastle police asked for OSBI assistance after a woman's body was discovered inside a room at the Newcastle Motel located in the 1200 block of N. Main St. The owner said the victim and a man checked into the motel room around 8:00 a.m. Thursday.

At this time, investigators are not saying how the woman died, but they are investigating the case as a possible homicide. The medical examiner will perform an autopsy. The woman has not been identified.

Around 8:30 p.m. Friday, the OSBI released a sketch of a man as a person of interest in the case. He is described as a Native American man approximately 50 years old with a medium build standing at 5'11". He has dark hair medium length and dark eyes. Witnesses at the motel say he look to be about 185 lbs.
