The notes left behind on the makeshift memorial near NE 23 Street and Spencer Road says it all, reminding those who drive by about a life cut tragically short.

Tuesday marked the three year anniversary of Ciar Pierce’s death, and it was a tough day for him mom.

All she wants is for his killer to finally be caught and convicted.

“It’s beyond frustrating,” said Sarah Burdine, Pierce’s mom. “And that's the only word i can keep thinking of to describe it. You know they have the person in mind who did this and i know who he is and that's very, very difficult.”

Pierce died outside Shaker's Nightclub in Spencer which has since been shut down. Investigators said then that at least 60 bullets were found in the area.

Pierce was in his car when the shooting happened and was hit by a single bullet. He died at the scene.

Despite several people being at the club, no one has come forward willing to testify.

“As a mom I am begging, I am begging someone to come forward to have the bravery, to have the conscience about them to come forward and say ‘I know what happened. I saw who did it, I know who did it, they told me they did it,” Burdine said. “Whatever the piece of the puzzle that they have  that they are willing to say fear aside this person killed someone.”

Fortunately, a piece of Pierce continues to live on - in the daughter he never met.

A daughter that keeps his family together and keeps them seeking justice.

“That's little Ciar to us,” Burdine said. “Ciara looks just like her dad and acts like him and he would be so incredible proud of her.”

A spokesperson with the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office confirms at one time, they had two people who they presented charges against, but the district attorney's office declined to file on them.

Burdine said one of them is currently in jail accused in another homicide.

She told us she's willing to hold out for the right person to be charged and convicted, and for there to be enough evidence to do so.

There is a $10,000 reward in this case.
