Crews Battle Grass Fire In NE OKC

Crews were called out to battle a grass fire that flared up in a rural area on the far northeast side of the metro, Tuesday afternoon.

Firefighters were called out to the scene in the 7500 block of E. Hefner Rd., about two miles to the south of the Turner Turnpike, just before 2 p.m.

One fire engine, three brush pumpers and two tankers were used to douse the flames. No one was injure and no structures were damaged. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
