Anti-abortion protesters lined the sidewalks along NW 23 Street in Oklahoma City Saturday morning, protesting Planned Parenthood’s central Oklahoma City location.

The protest was part of a day of protesting at 320 Planned Parenthood clinics across the country in angry response to recent videos that show Planned Parenthood employees allegedly discussing fees for fetal tissue and partial birth abortions.

The videos were released by the Center for Medical Progress, an anti-abortion organization.

Oklahoma City police estimated about 100 people had gathered, but one of the group’s organizers, Deborah Krisch said she had tallied close to 300 anti-abortion protesters.

“I think people are ready to take action. We're tired of sitting on the sidelines and doing nothing,” Cliff Hughes said.

He, his wife and four small children stood with signs as cars drove by.

“We don't want generations to look back on us like what we look on what went on in Nazi Germany and wonder how could we let this happen, how could this take place,” he said.

The day of protest was even trending on social media under the hashtags #ProtestPP and #PPsellsbabyparts.

Planned Parenthood has stayed mostly silent on the controversy. The national vice president released a statement, saying in part , "These rallies are meant to intimidate and harass our patients, who rely on our non-profit health centers for basic, preventive health care."

No one was available at the Oklahoma City clinic to talk with News 9.
