Posted: Updated:
OKLAHOMA CITY -

An important piece of News 9 is now officially a part of Oklahoma history.

A portion of the old News 9 tower was mounted, Friday, at the Oklahoma History Museum. The tower was at one time the world's tallest video tower at more than 1,500 feet.

Construction crews dismantled it back in February 2015.

Aside from the piece the museum is preserving, the rest of the tower is being recycled.
