The Oklahoma City Dodgers’ five-game winning streak came to an end Saturday in a 2-0 shutout loss to the Tacoma Rainiers in front of a sellout crowd of 10,331 at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

Tacoma starting pitcher Chien-Ming Wang (2-3) tossed a complete game shutout for the win as he held the Dodgers to three hits, tying Oklahoma City’s season-low hit total. Wang issued four walks and recorded two strikeouts over nine inning. He threw 112 pitches, including 70 for strikes.

Oklahoma City starting pitcher Mike Bolsinger (2-2) held the Rainiers scoreless through six innings, but ended up with the loss. He allowed just one run and three hits, walked three and tied his season high with Oklahoma City with nine strikeouts.

Saturday opened an eight-game homestand for the Dodgers (72-48), as well as a four-game series against the Rainiers, who played in Bricktown for the first time since May 2013.

The Rainiers (57-64) broke the scoreless tie between the teams in the seventh inning.

Tacoma’s Jabari Blash hit a solo homer onto the lawn in front of the batter’s eye in center field to give the Rainiers a 1-0 lead.

Chris Taylor brought home the second run of the night for Tacoma with a RBI groundout in the eighth inning for a 2-0 Rainiers lead.

Dodgers reliever David Huff entered the game in the eighth inning and allowed one run and one hit over two innings.

Tacoma collected four hits in the game, which lasted two hours, eight minutes, tying the shortest nine-inning game of the season for Oklahoma City.

Saturday marked the sixth shutout loss of the season for the Dodgers, and first at home since a 2-0 loss in the season opener against Round Rock April 9.

The Dodgers continue their series against the Rainiers at 6:05 p.m. Sunday at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. Tomorrow is a Chaparral Energy Family Sunday with many family fun activities available, including pregame player autographs, and kids can run the bases after the game.
