The Woodward County Sheriff's Office requested OSBI assistance Friday afternoon, after a woman was found inside her rural home suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.

Brandy Solida, 33, was life-flighted to an Oklahoma City hospital. She is currently in good condition.

OSBI agents were searching for Brandy's husband, 39-year-old Chris Solida, for questioning about the shooting.

Chris fled the area with the couple's two young children.

Friday evening, Kansas officers spotted Solida's vehicle parked at a Great Bend motel. Police said he was inside the vehicle with his two children, armed and refused to get out.

After several hours, Great Bend Police detained Solida. His two young children are now in Kansas state custody.

The investigation is still ongoing at this time.
