Crews Battle Blaze At NW OKC Home

Posted: Updated:

Crews were able to quickly get a handle on a house fire on the northwest side of the metro, Friday afternoon.

Firefighters were called out to the scene at a single-story home in the 4400 block of NW 47th St., just to the east of N. Meridian Ave., around 4:20 p.m. A hole had to be cut in the roof of the home for firefighters to combat the flames.

It is unclear if anyone was at home at the time the fire started, but no injuries have been reported. The cause has not yet been determined. A preliminary damage estimate has not been made at this time.
