Crews Investigate Fire At NE OKC Salvage Yard

A fire that flared up in a shed at an auto salvage yard on the northeast side of the metro Wednesday afternoon has been ruled an accident.

A fire that flared up in a shed at an auto salvage yard on the northeast side of the metro Wednesday afternoon has been ruled an accident.

Firefighters were called out to the scene at C&C Used Auto Parts, located in the 3700 block of NE 23rd St., around 1:30 p.m.

Once on scene, crew reported that the shed was fully involved. Firefighters say they had they had to fight it defensively after employees told them the shed might contain fertilizer. The fire was quickly contained and no one was injured.

Investigators tell News 9 this was an accidental fir and was electrical in nature.
