OKC Man Arrested On 11 Counts Of Rape

An Oklahoma City man was arrested on Wednesday on multiple complaints, including 11 counts of rape. Police said he began sexually assaulting an underage girl since she was 11 and continued until she was 15. 

According to police, John Lowery, 43, was arrested and booked into the Oklahoma County Jail Wednesday morning on 11 counts of rape, one count of forcible oral sodomy, and one count of sexual abuse of a child.

On July 17, 2015, the victim, now 17, came forward and reported to police that when she was 11 years old, Lowery would place her on his lap and “grind on her.” She said when she was 13, Lowery offered to buy her sex toys because he told her “girls her age needed them.”

The victim told police when she was 14, Lowery forced her to perform oral sex on him. About a month later, she said Lowery raped her.  The victim said since then, Lowery continued to rape her once or twice a week until she was 15 years old.

The girl said she was on Lowery’s computer one time and saw images of a naked young girl, possibly seven years old, performing oral sex on a man.

Police said the victim has had no contact with Lowery since January, 2015. The victim had told her DHS caseworker about the incidents, the police report stated.

A bond has not been set for Lowery.
