The Dodgers avoided a series sweep with a 4-1 win Sunday against the Colorado Springs Sky Sox at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. Oklahoma City held the Sky Sox scoreless through eight innings to win the series and season finale between the teams and end a five-game losing skid in front of a crowd of 5,140.

Dodgers starting pitcher Eric Surkamp (6-3) tossed five scoreless innings and held the Sky Sox to three hits. He did not issue a walk and struck out three in the win. Mike Bolsinger entered the game in the sixth inning and pitched 3.2 innings of scoreless and hitless relief with five strikeouts.

Meanwhile, the Dodgers (68-47) built up a 4-0 advantage on the scoreboard against the Sky Sox (47-66).

A RBI single by Corey Seager and a sacrifice fly by O'Koyea Dickson gave Oklahoma City an early 2-0 lead in the first inning. In the fourth inning, Scott Schebler hit his 12th home run of the season onto the Budweiser Deck in left field to give the Dodgers a 3-0 lead. Schebler finished the night 2-for-3 with a walk. Kyle Jensen’s sacrifice fly to right field in the eighth inning boosted the Dodgers to a 4-0 lead.

Pitcher Chris Hatcher, who is with Oklahoma City on a rehab assignment, entered the game with two outs in the ninth inning and allowed two hits and a run as Kyle Wren hit a RBI single for Colorado Springs in the top of the ninth inning to cut the Dodgers' lead to 4-1.

Sky Sox starting pitcher Ariel Pena left the game in the second inning, but was charged with the loss. He allowed two runs and two hits over 1.2 innings.

Colorado Springs had won the first four games and despite Sunday’s loss, took the final series of the season between the teams, 4-1.

The first-place Dodgers wrapped up their 10-game homestand with a 5-5 record and have a four-game lead on second place Iowa in the American Northern Division standings.

After a day off Monday, the Dodgers open a four-game road series against the New Orleans Zephyrs at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Zephyr Field. Live coverage begins at 5:30 p.m. on AM 1340 "The Game," 1340thegame.com, or through the free iHeartRadio mobile app.
