Nearly every stay-at-home mom dreams of a way to continue to stay home, and yet, make some extra cash.

A metro mom found a unique way to do that by decorating yards for special occasions. We met up with her to show you how she's making money one sign at a time.

Whether it's a kids' birthday, an adult being called out for being old enough for the cretaceous period perhaps, a special anniversary or graduation time, Amy Goodman is there to celebrate.

Goodman started "Signs to Celebrate" a few years ago as a stay-at-home mom wanting to earn some extra cash. Word-of-mouth and a Facebook page is how she advertises. She keeps all kinds of hours. She could be working at midnight or at 5 a.m., whatever the job takes. She'll do just about anything the customer requests.

Goodman decorates four to five yards a week, weather-permitting. Although, she's driven on ice to decorate in a snow storm. It's a sneaky job that can be hard to hide from neighbors.

Goodman charges $65 a yard. There's also a do-it-yourself option that's $35.
