Excessive Heat Warnings In Effect For Most Of Oklahoma

Posted: Updated:
OKLAHOMA CITY -

Excessive Heat Warnings are now out for most of the state.

Highs today will climb up to 100 degrees and the heat index will range from 105 to 115. This is dangerous heat so please make sure you stay alert. Stay hydrated, take breaks, and remember your pets.

This pattern continues into Sunday as the heat dome sets up shop overhead. However, this will start to break down late Sunday, and a cool front will move into NW OK.

Showers and a few t-storms will be possible. This will bring relief to the state as highs will only be in the low 90s! Until then, stay safe.
