Enid police are investigating after a resident found a body in their backyard Tuesday night.
It's been described as a gruesome discovery for the homeowners. According to the Enid News and Eagle, officers were called to the home on W. Randolph Avenue just after 8 p.m.
Police said the owners were checking on the property when they came across an adult body and called 911. Officers said they couldn't make a positive ID of the victim because of the condition of the body.
It will now be up to the state medical examiner to determine the cause of death.
If you have any information that could help police complete their investigation, you're asked to give them a call.
