Authorities are investigating an arson after two Molotov cocktails were thrown into a northeast Oklahoma City home, starting a small fire early Tuesday morning.

It happened just after 2 a.m. in the 1200 block of N.E. 43rd near Kelly. When firefighters arrived, they found a small fire on the bed inside one of the bedrooms.

Fire crews initially got a call that a candle in a bedroom started a fire, but an arson investigator on scene said it was two Molotov cocktails that had been thrown through the window of a bedroom. The bottles did not break, however.

A third bottle was found outside the house.  It had been thrown at a living room window, but it did not go through the window, authorities said.

There were people inside the house at the time. No one was injured. And fire crews were able to quickly put out the small fire.

As to who started this and why, that's something arson investigators are trying to find out.
