OKC Man Arrested For Hitting Girlfriend, Baby, And Girlfriend's Mother

An Oklahoma City man was arrested after police said he hit his girlfriend, their 7-month-old baby, and his girlfriend’s mother during an argument Friday night.

According to police, just before 9:30 p.m. officers responded to the report of a domestic assault in the 3100 block of S.W. 48th. A woman told police that her boyfriend of four years, 35-year-old John Conner, had gotten into a fight with her.

The victim said Conner came over to her house after he had been drinking with some friends. That’s when they got into an argument. The victim said she was holding their 7-month-old son when Conner began hitting her in the face. At one point, the victim said she turned away and Conner hit the baby in the face.

According to the police report, Conner then grabbed the baby’s waist and ripped him out of his girlfriend’s arms. He then threw the baby over his shoulder, and his girlfriend said he was squeezing the baby very tightly.

The victim’s mother tried to break up the fight. However, she said Conner hit her twice in the head and ear. Conner's girlfriend said she took the baby from Conner and ran outside to call 911. At that point, Conner left the scene.

Police said the victim had visible injuries to her face. The baby had a bloody mouth, and the victim’s mother had a bruise on the left side of her head.

The victim had four children who were all in the room during the fight. Police said they all witnesses the assault. 

Officers took Conner into custody. He was booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on complaints of domestic violence in the presence of a minor, child abuse, and two counts of assault and battery.
