The family of a 76-year-old veteran is pleading for help after years of "slumlord issues" at the same home, they said.

They told News 9 the home is unlivable.

News 9 stopped by Roy Delozier's home Saturday evening and the conditions are deplorable.

Delozier's son Richard Delozier showed News 9 that the house has no plumbing, water, or electricity in parts of the home.

Roy Delozier's family said he has been living in this home and in these conditions for at least six years.

Richard Delozier said his elderly father suffers from dementia and Parkinson's disease, and he is at OU Medical Center after an apparent heat stroke.

Delozier's family claims the landlord no longer wants to help them fix the house to where it is liveable.

Richard Delozier said they have been lied to repeatedly on promises to make critical repairs.

"I don't want him to pass away in this house because of health hazards. There is mold in some of the rooms. There is one cross space in his bedroom where there is dirt," Richard Delozier said.

The landlord told News 9 not only has the home been trashed, but rent hasn't been paid in several months.

He said there's only so much he can do.
