A Norman man was arrested this week, accused of a number of child pornography and drugs charges.

Agents with the Oklahoma Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task force arrested 29-year-old James Clark at his home in the 7500 block of Pleasant Valley Drive on Wednesday.

A task force member started the investigation after searching a peer-to-peer file sharing network and eventually linked an IP address to a home in Norman. Agents obtained a search warrant which led them straight to Clark’s Norman home.

Inside the home, agents discovered several computer-related devices, drugs and nearly $8,000 in cash. Agents searched the computers at the scene and found that a laptop located in the master bedroom was actively sharing dozens of pornographic videos and images of children.

Clark was arrested and booked into the Cleveland County Jail for the charges of Distribution of Child Pornography, Aggravated Possession of Child Pornography (100 or more images), Violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act, Possession of Marijuana with Internet to Distribute, Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of Drug Proceeds, Maintaining a Dwelling and Use of Surveillance Equipment to Facilitate a Felony. Details on a possible bond were not available.

The case remains under investigation.
