Oklahoma City police are looking for a suspect in connection to a shooting that injured one person early Thursday morning.

According to police, at about 2:30 a.m., officers responded to the report of an assault with a dangerous weapon at an apartment complex in 6600 block of S. May. When officers arrived, they spoke with the victim who had just been shot in the left hip area.

The victim told police that a woman he had met on Facebook came to his apartment to hang out. After a few hours, the victim and that woman were walking downstairs when they were confronted by the suspect.

The woman reportedly told the victim to run. That’s when the victim was shot. Officers said they found shell casings and projectiles in the parking lot.

The victim said the suspect and the woman took off from the scene, and he ran back inside his apartment and asked his sister to call police. He said prior to the shooting, the woman had told him that she had a “crazy baby daddy.”

According to police, before the shooting, the suspect had called officers to report that his girlfriend was missing. He reportedly told police that he had found her car at the apartment complex.

After the shooting, officers went to the suspect’s apartment, but it appeared no one was home.

If you have any information, call Oklahoma City police.
