Chance Of Showers, Thunderstorms Thursday In Oklahoma

Behind the "not as front," highs today will be cooler. Folks in northern OK will enjoy 80s for most of the afternoon.

Heavy rain and storms will continue in far northern OK through mid morning. Severe weather not likely this morning, but storms are producing very heavy rain, dangerous lightning and winds to 40 mph. This first round of rain/storms will fizzle out as they shift to the ESE. 

Highs in the metro will climb into the low 90s today with a slight chance for afternoon storms. Best storm chances this evening will be in northern OK, but even there rain chances will be scattered around. Not looking for widespread heavy rain today. 

More rain is on the way for your Friday and temperatures will be a little cooler tomorrow as well.
