Oklahoma City police are searching for a suspect who shot and injured a man early Wednesday morning. It happened at a motel on N.W. 39th Street near May Avenue.
It's been a long night for the people who checked in at the Days Inn Motel. They weren't evacuated, but they were told to stay in their rooms during the investigation.
Officers raced there just after midnight when they got several 911 calls after people heard gunfire. Once they arrived they found a man who had been shot several times. EMSA treated him at the scene before he was loaded into the EMSA unit and rushed to a hospital in an unknown condition.
An older silver car the victim was in is riddled with bullets. But the big question for police to find out is where this suspect is, what led up to this shooting.
It's not clear how or if the two men knew each other. The description on the suspect is vague, but police said he was driving a blue early 2000 Chevy Impala.
What may help in this case are the security cameras that are outside the hotel. Detectives are working to get the footage to hopefully lead them to the suspect. If you have information you're asked to call them or crime stoppers if you wish to remain anonymous.
