Police arrested a Talala woman after emergency crews rescued her 1-year-old child from a car in the Owasso Walmart parking lot Tuesday afternoon.

Police said they booked Hanna Secondi into jail on a child neglect complaint.

According to the arrest report, officers responded to the Walmart at 12101 East 96th Street North in Owasso after witnesses said a small child was inside a vehicle.

Medics said the internal temperature of the child was over 100 degrees when they took the child to the hospital.

The arresting officer said he made contact with Secondi as she was walking out of Walmart. He said she frantically asked if her child was dead.

According to the officer, Secondi said she was in the Walmart for about 45 minutes and had forgotten the child was in the vehicle when she got out of it.

According to an Owasso Fire Chief at the scene, the temperature inside the vehicle was at least 120 degrees after ten minutes of the doors being closed.

Jail records show Secondi is being held on a $50,000 bond.
