Investigators say 2-year-old Kreedin Brooks died at the hands of his mother's boyfriend.

The boyfriend, Dustin Davison, has been arrested for the murder. Now, the victim's family is pursuing more than justice.

"He was an innocent little child... at 2-years-old what could he do," said Mike Sepe, the victim's uncle.

Bethany Police informed the family on May 18 that Kreedin Brooks was covered in bruises when they arrived to the family's home at the Bryan Hill Apartments. Investigators say, the 2-year-old died from a skull fracture he suffered at the hands of Davison.

Davison was arrested and is being held in the Oklahoma County Jail until trial.

"Any grown person that abuses a child isn't worth," said Sepe

Sepe said Davison is certainly not worth his anger, so he's channeling his frustration into something more constructive.

"Just thinking about giving back and helping out and making people aware of the abuse children receive."

He's organized "Ride the Wind for Kreedin" a charity poker run that will raise money to purchase a headstone for Kreedin's gravesite and give other kids a fighting chance against child abuse.

"Hopefully in the future this run will keep going and keep his name alive and keep it in memory," Sepe said proceeds will be donated to local child abuse foundations.

Sepe said its one way he can honor the 2-year-old taken too soon.

"There is no way any child... any child would deserve something like that," said Sepe.

The 'Ride the Wind with Kreedin' Charity Poker Run is Saturday at Harley Davidson World on Reno in Oklahoma City.

Registration is at 10 a.m. The ride starts at noon. All motor vehicles are welcome.
