A former Edmond band director turned himself in to authorities after being accused of soliciting a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old student.

Cameron Kyle Kedy, 27, turned himself into the Oklahoma County Jail Thursday morning. He has been released after posting a $15,000 bond.

Kedy worked as a band director at Edmond Memorial High School. He was arrested on a charge of soliciting sexual conduct or communication with a minor by use of technology.

Court documents state Kedy solicited a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old student. The girl's parents said they "found out that their daughter had been receiving inappropriate texting" from Kedy and that she admitted "having a sexual relationship" with the band director.
