Oklahoma City police identified a rape suspect who was shot and killed by officers after he threatened them with a knife Wednesday afternoon.

According to police, at 5:14 p.m. officers responded to the report of a rape at an area hospital. A female victim told police she went to a house Tuesday evening near the 1300 block of N.E. 24th, where she was later held against her will and repeatedly raped.

The victim had injuries consistent with her story. Police said she managed to leave the home the following morning and went to a hospital for help. She was able to provide a description of the suspect and the house where the rape took place.

Information gained by officers led them to a home in the 1300 block of N.E. 24th, where they made contact with a relative of the suspect who allowed them inside the home.

According to police, officers found 26-year-old Andre Dontrell Williams, who fit the suspect description, hiding under a bed in one of the bedrooms of the house. Williams was reportedly armed with a knife.

Officers ordered Williams to drop the knife and to come out from under the bed. Williams began emerging from the bed but continued to hold the knife. Police said they used a Taser on Williams in an attempt to disarm him.

Williams refused to release the knife and made an aggressive movement at one of the officers with the knife in hand. Officers discharged their firearms at Williams, striking him. Williams was pronounced dead at the scene.

A search warrant was obtained to process the house for evidence. Officers searched the home and found several pieces of evidence corroborating the victim’s account that she was held against her will and sexually assaulted.

The officers involved in the shooting have been identified as Sgt. Robert Labadie (15-year veteran,) Sgt. Wesley Breaux (7-year veteran,) Sgt. Karl Pulliam (6-year veteran,) and Ofc. Daniel Carli (2 years of service.)

The four officers will be placed on administrative leave pending an investigation on the shooting, according to police.
