A bold thief is hitting Wal-Mart stores across the metro. Each time he walks into the store he leaves with a register drawer in hand without a single employee stopping him.

The Del City Wal-Mart is now the 4th metro store to be robbed by what appears to be the same man this summer.

Multiple police departments are now working together to catch the man from striking again. Pictures taken from several metro Wal-Mart surveillance cameras show the fearless crook walking out the doors with a cash drawer in hand.

“It looks like he's the same suspect that's been doing it other Wal-Mart stores throughout the metro,” said Jenny Monroe, Edmond Police Department.

It's happened in Edmond, Oklahoma City, and most recently in Del City.

Investigators say the man targets the Lawn Garden and Tire shop area that usually doesn't have many people around. He then unplugs the register and walks straight out.

“We've seen it, but it's not a very common crime. We do believe that when they have that kind of expertise that they've learned it either form working for that business or a business similar to it,” said Major Jody Suit, Del City Police.

Police told News 9 each time there was money in the drawer, but as for how much they wouldn't say.

“It's pretty rare for someone just to open the drawer and take the whole thing and leave,” said Major Suit, Del City Police.

They also believe he used an accomplice to help distract employees as he walks out the door.

“He's got a crime pattern that he's following and he's going to keep going until someone catches him,” said Major Suit, Del City Police.

A spokesperson for Wal-Mart told News 9 they've put additional security measures in place at metro stores.
