An Oklahoma City gift company is credited with helping expose an international crime ring.

Last week, HomeWetBar.com received several orders from the same person made several times in one day.

Many of the HomeWetBar.com gifts can be personalized, but the questionable orders included no personalization.

“We sent them voice mails and emails and they weren't responding. At that point it was pretty clear we were dealing with fraud because it was 19 orders all next day air which is really, really unusual,” said HomeWetBar.com owner Keith Winter.

Some items had already been shipped from Oklahoma City to Illinois, so the business called the Macon County Sheriff's office in Decatur and asked them to investigate.

That same day, investigators in Decatur spotted the Homewetbar.com boxes that were purchased with a stolen credit card and made an arrest.

According to detectives, the suspect’s home looked like the back of a post office the week before Christmas. Boxes were everywhere.

“TVs, computers, you name it they had it sent to their house,” said Det. Roger Pope with the Macon County Sheriff’s Office.

“Their job is to repackage the items and send them to addresses in Africa,” added Det. Pope about the suspect and her boyfriend who is also being investigated.

Detectives plan to contact the FBI after completing their initial report.

“Makes us feel that we are doing our part to protect our customers,” said Winter.
