Man Wanted For Murder Of Girlfriend Arrested By US Marshals

A man wanted for the murder of his girlfriend is finally behind bars.

Devin Timmons, 22, was arrested on Sunday by U.S. Marshals and members of the absentee Shawnee tribal police.

Timmons is being held without bond after being on the run for nearly four days. He was finally spotted down in Norman by an alert citizen who called 911.

According to the U.S. Marshalls office, video surveillance at the east side Wal-Mart  located at NE 12th and Main confirmed the person spotted was indeed Devin Timmons. And that he and a known associate were seen getting into a white Ford Explorer in the parking lot.

Marshalls were able to track them down to a home located in rural Cleveland County, located off SE 180th Ave. And within minutes they spotted Timmons walking out the door. That's when Marshals made their move and took him by surprise and arrested him right by the yard sale.

Ben Brooks is Laura's brother and is still reeling from his sister's death. He and the family are now trying to figure out how to care for her young children; this while dealing with the fact that someone had broken into the apartment where she lived and took some of her personal things.

But then there are the complete strangers who have just wanted to help, by donating anything they can for the kids. And for that the family is very thankful. Especially since the kids may have witnessed their mother's murder.

Court documents state the kids told investigators that Timmons and Brooks were fighting and that their mommy was in heaven.

Surveillance video from the kids daycare shows it was Timmons who dropped them off. It wasn't until no one came to pick up the kids that police were called and the body was found.
