Oklahoma City police arrested two suspects, an 18-year-old and a 16-year-old, following an investigation into reports of lewd acts with a child and a drive-by shooting.

According to police, at about 5 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to the report of a rape and a drive-by shooting in the 3400 block of N. Blackwelder Avenue. Officers arrived in the area and pulled over a vehicle matching the suspect vehicle description. The driver, 18-year-old Christian Mariano, and his 16-year-old passenger were then asked to step out of the car.

Officers said they found an AR15 rifle behind the driver’s seat. It was loaded with 24 live rounds. Police said the 16-year-old suspect had a box of 12 live rounds in his pocket.

Police returned to the original scene and learned that the 14-year-old victim had come to the home for a party. That’s where she met Mariano and the 16-year-old suspect.

According to the police report, the two suspects left with the victim with the intention of having sex. Mariano dropped off the 16-year-old suspect at a convenience store, and then drove to a church with the victim. However, police said the victim changed her mind. She told Mariano “no” and pushed him away. But Mariano continued to try to pull the victim’s underwear down to have sex.

The three eventually returned to the party, where the victim’s mother was waiting for her. She confronted the suspects about what had happened. That’s when the suspects got back into their vehicle, and the 16-year-old shot the AR 15 rifle out of the passenger window.

The two reportedly drove around and returned to the party. That’s when the 16-year-old got out of the vehicle with the rifle and asked “who was grabbing at him” and threatened to kill them.

Both suspects were transported to the Oklahoma County Jail. Mariano is being held on complaints of discharging a firearm from a vehicle, and lewd or indecent proposals/acts to a child.  The 16-year-old is being held on a complaint of discharging firearm from vehicle.
