Police Arrest Boyfriend Of OKC Woman Found Beaten To Death
OKLAHOMA CITY - Police have arrested the boyfriend of a woman found beaten to death inside her southwest Oklahoma City apartment.
The U.S. Marshal Metro Fugitive Task Force with the assistance of the Absentee Shawnee Tribal Police arrested 22-year-old Devin Alan Timmons at a home in the 300 block of SE 180th in Norman, early Sunday evening.
An arrest warrant was issued for Timmons Friday, after 26-year-old Laura Brooks was found dead inside the couple's apartment at the Country Club Apartments on SW 57th and Agnew.
Court records show Timmons has a history of domestic abuse and has spent time in jail in Pottawatomie County.
Laura's brother, Ben Brooks, told News 9 that his sister and Timmons had a rocky relationship. He told his sister to leave Timmons several times.
Timmons was seen on surveillance video dropping Laura's five children off at daycare Thursday morning.
According to the arrest warrant, one of the children told officers that Timmons hurt Laura and that she "was in heaven now".
Timmons will be booked into the Oklahoma County Jail.
