Norman Police Arrest Woman In Connection To Shooting That Injured Man

Norman police arrested a woman in connection to a shooting that injured a man late Thursday night.

According to police, at 11:59 p.m., officers responded to the report of a shooting at a rural Norman home in the 1200 block of Garnet Road. Officers arrived and learned that a man had been shot one time with a small caliber handgun.

The victim received treatment at the scene and was then transported by EMSSTAT to OU Medical Center for treatment of the gunshot wound.

A woman at the home, 54-year-old Julie Garrison, has been arrested and booked into the F. Dewayne Beggs Detention Center on one count of assault and battery with a deadly weapon. A bond has not been set.
