A woman thanked Oklahoma City police officers with cookies and a thank-you card, after they helped her recover a stolen iPad and arrested the man in possession of the tablet.

According to police, larceny investigators recently arrested 43-year-old Jack Howell on a complaint of concealing stolen property in connection with a stolen iPad.

Police said the case started out when the victim had her carpets cleaned, and then realized shortly after that her iPad was missing. The victim got a phone call from a man claiming that he had bought her iPad through Craigslist, and he needed her help to get it unlocked.

Even after explaining that the tablet had been stolen, police said the man refused to return it. The following day, the man called the victim back again, this time, asking for a reward. When he went to collect his reward, he was surprised to see detectives waiting for him instead.

The victim was very appreciative and sent the officers and investigators a little treat, along with a thank-you card.
