Police Arrest Driver Who Fled After Crashing Into Bicyclist In SE OKC

Police have arrested a woman who reportedly left the scene after crashing her car into a bicyclist early Wednesday morning in southeast Oklahoma City.

Police have arrested a woman who reportedly left the scene after crashing her car into a bicyclist early Wednesday morning in southeast Oklahoma City.

According to police, officers responded to the crash at about 3:30 a.m. at S.E. 70th and Shields. A driver crashed into a man while he was riding his bicycle. The cyclist was taken to the hospital. He is said to be in good condition.

However, the driver reportedly left her car at the scene and ran away. Officers searched her car and found her ID inside. They went to her home where they arrested her.

The driver, later identified as 33-year-old Cristena Leynes Farmer, was booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on a misdemeanor count of driving under the influence of drugs and leaving the scene of an accident with personal injury. A bond has not been set.
