Video out of Tallahassee, Fla., is rekindling a debate here in Oklahoma.

It shows a young woman at a bar getting into it with a 19-year-old Florida State University quarterback. She takes a swipe at him, misses, and he fires back with a punch right to her face, and he didn't miss.

The Florida State attorney released the video. The quarterback has been charged by law enforcement and has been kicked off the Seminole football team.

Sounds familiar doesn't it? That Joe Mixon case in Norman all over again, except that security camera video has been locked up.

The court has refused to release the video of the OU running back walloping a woman at a Norman restaurant.

People who've seen it in a media showing, including News 9 reporters, say the punch is more violent than the video you just saw.

But the public hasn't had a chance to decide if the discipline Mixon was given fits crime, because the recording is being kept under wraps.

Even OU All-American Tony Casillas called out his alma mater, tweeting today:

"David Boren, punishes a kid by making a bad mistake, making racial statements, kicks him, and his fraternity off campus, but allows an athlete
to continue the privilege of playing Division 1 college football. #DoubleStandard"

The Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters is still fighting for the video's release, and this Florida State situation adds more fuel to the argument.

I'm Kelly Ogle and that's My 2 Cents.
