Oklahoma City police are looking for the people responsible for a deadly drive-by shooting that took place in northeast Oklahoma City late Wednesday night.

It happened just before midnight near NE 50th St. and Martin Luther King Blvd. The exact address is the 1700 block of Myers Place.

“Just sounded like the kids were shooting fireworks cause it sounded like they tied some black cats together,” said Felicia Lewis who lives along that street. “And then you heard two loud booms and that was it.”

Lewis says she was inside her home watching TV when she heard those loud booms and then noticed police lights flashing outside her window. When she came outside she discovered someone had been shot at the home across the street.

“It’s a sad situation,” said Lewis. “I pray for the family and pray for everyone that was involved.”

Police identify the man who was shot as 30-year-old Frank Louis Williams of Oklahoma City. He had just been released from prison last year after serving time for drugs and gun possession.

Friends say he was visiting their home Wednesday night, and was just about to leave when he was shot walking to his car.

“And they came and they started shooting and it was just a drive-by,” said one friend who does not want to be identified for fear of retaliation. “They don't know who it was. They don't know anything.”

On Thursday those same friends were out cleaning up the blood left behind on the driveway. None of them wanted to show their face on camera, but all of them are mourning the loss of their friend.

William’s friends say he leaves behind two children and a family in Arkansas.

“We going to miss him,” said one of them. “He wasn't a bad person at all. It’s just sad that it happened.”

If you have any information that could help police solve this case you are urged to call the Oklahoma City Homicide Tip line at (405) 297-1200.

Police say they are looking for multiple suspects.
