Wednesday, I had the honor and pleasure to talk to one of the most interesting people I've met since coming to Oklahoma four years ago.

Todd Craighead has overcome multiple birth defects to his arms, hands, legs, and feet to become host of a popular TV show, and one of the most widely recognized outdoorsman in the state.  Craighead hunts, fishes, and even goes four wheeling in his bright red Jeep.

The thing that stood out most is Craighead's attitude.  He's positive, upbeat, and has a great outlook on life.  He got to where he is by just wanting to be equal, or better than his peers at something, since it was obvious early on that he wasn't going to be competitive in sports.

Craighead's story is the type I like to share with my 12-year-old son, Charles, who's had to make a big lifestyle change after being diagnosed as a Type 1 diabetic a few months ago.  My son is a pretty good basketball player, and he's going to have to work a little harder than everyone else to make his hoop dreams come true.

It's inspiring stories like these that can serve as a reminder to all of us to keep working, stay positive, and try to achieve our dreams no matter what obstacles are put in front of us.
