Police have arrested a woman believed to be the driver who plowed over a metro man tending to his garden in northwest Oklahoma City in early June.

Police have arrested a woman believed to be the driver who plowed over a metro man tending to his garden in northwest Oklahoma City in early June.

A Crime Stoppers tip led police to arrest 30-year-old Karra Camburn on Monday.

The incident occurred around 10 p.m. on June 10. Victor Karban, 72, and his wife, Jackie, were spraying water on the flowers in front of their home near NW 17th and Kentucky Ave. when a gold-colored Ford SUV ran right into Victor, splitting his head open.

Victor was unconscious, covered in blood as the SUV sped through the stop sign. Victor's wife Jackie said she tried to flag down the driver and yell for help but she didn't get a license plate number.

According to police, Camburn was arrested Monday afternoon thanks to the help of people who called the Crime Stoppers hotline.
