Earthquake Rattles Northern Oklahoma

An earthquake was reported Saturday afternoon in Garfield County, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

An earthquake was reported Saturday afternoon in Garfield County, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The 3.1-magnitude earthquake was reported about 5:50 p.m. Saturday.

Its epicenter was located about 16 miles west, southwest of Tonkawa, about 21 miles northeast of Enid and 76 miles north of Oklahoma City, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The earthquake was reportedly about more than half a mile deep.

No immediate reports of injury or damage were reported.
