Suspect On The Run After Leading OKC Officers On Chase

A suspect is on the run after leading police on a chase early Thursday morning in northwest Oklahoma City.

According to police, at about 1:15 a.m., officers tried to pull the suspect over for speeding near N.W. 122nd and Penn. That's when the suspect sped away in the car.

The suspect eventually bailed out of the moving car and ran away. At some point, police said the suspect threw away a gun while he was running. That gun has been recovered.

Officers learned that the suspect had several warrants out for his arrest. They found drugs in the suspect vehicle, and a passenger was taken into custody.
