The head chef at a popular Yukon restaurant was arrested on Friday after being accused of sexually assaulting an underage female co-worker.

Canadian County Sheriff's deputies arrested 45-year-old David Sullivan, the executive chef at Hensley's Top Shelf Grill, after receiving a complaint from the parent of a 16-year-old girl who claimed to have been harassed and groped by Sullivan.

After meeting with the girl and her mother, and obtaining information from the girl's cell phone, investigators were able to obtain a search warrant for video surveillance equipment kept at the restaurant. The warrant specifically sought footage from an incident that took place in the kitchen area on June 14.

According to a report by the sheriff's office, upon viewing the footage, deputies were “shocked” that the incident appeared to be much more forceful and abusive that they felt the girl had described. The girl told investigators that Sullivan held her against her will and grabbed her butt.

“I'm seriously concerned by the fact that Hensley's possessed video footage of this incident and never reported the assault to authorities. I'm certain had we not become involved, the battery would have continued on this girl, as well as untold others,” said Randall Edwards, Canadian County Sheriff.

After his arrest, deputies say Sullivan confessed to the incident witnessed on the surveillance footage, and admitted that what he had done was “very inappropriate.” Deputies also say that Sullivan admitted he had inappropriate contact with another Hensley's employee that no longer worked there.

“I want parents to understand that the Canadian County Sheriff's Office takes this type of felonious activity serious, and they are encouraged to report any matter relating to their child's safety and well-being to my office,” said Edwards.

Sullivan was booked into the Canadian County Jail on one count of Sexual Battery of a Person 16-Years of Age or Older. His bond was set at $20,000.
