Hot And Humid First Full Day Of Summer In Oklahoma

Today is the first full day of summer, and it sure will feel like it. 

After a warm and hazy start, we are in for a hot, humid, and windy afternoon. Highs today will climb back into the low 90s and even upper 90s in NW OK. With all the moisture left around from the heavy rain last week, the heat index will be near 100 degrees statewide. 

This same trend will continue nearly every day this week.

As a weak cool front pushes in from the north, there will be a slight chance for showers overnight, but only in northern OK. Much better rain chances will arrive on Friday as a strong cool front moves in. This one will not only give a chance for storms, but also drop our temperatures some.
