Authorities said no one was injured after a train struck an abandoned car in northwest Oklahoma City, early Thursday morning.
According to the Oklahoma City Fire Department, at about 1:30 a.m., emergency crews responded to the collision at Britton and Western.
Crews said a red, 4-door Suzuki was abandoned on the track. A northbound BNSF freight train spotted the car and slowed down before hitting it. The train then pushed the car a short distance to the Britton and Western intersection.
No one was injured in the collision. Police are now investigating why the car was stalled in the path of the train.
