Police Identify Pedestrian, Driver In Fatal Norman Collision

Police have identified the driver and the pedestrian who was struck and killed on a rural Norman road on Sunday.

Police have identified the driver and the pedestrian who was struck and killed on a rural Norman road on Sunday.

According to the original report, the driver of a 2002 Saturn L100 was heading southbound on 48th Ave. NE from Franklin when the vehicle collided with the victim, who was standing in the roadway.

The pedestrian was transported by ambulance to Norman Regional Hospital where they were later declared dead.

Police have now identified the driver of the Saturn as 72-year-old Ellen Parnell. The pedestrian was identified as 81-year-old Amy Lee Moore. Both women are listed as Norman residents.

Investigators say they are continuing to look into the accident. So far there has been no official cause for the collision and no citations have been issued at this time.
