A father and son are recovering, Sunday night, after being involved in a hit-and-run crash. They were hit from behind by a driver who initially stopped to check on them, but then took off before police could arrive on scene.

That father and son are lucky to even be alive after that terrible accident, but now they are stuck with countless medical bills...and countless questions too.

Photos were taken of Brandon and Bradley Wisda while they were still in the hospital after that June 2 crash. Brandon still has to wear a back brace and has multiple fractures in his back. He also has several broken fingers, road rash all over and staples in his head.

Bradley also has several scars, both mental and physical. The two were riding on Bradley's motorcycle, going Eastbound on I-40 near Choctaw Rd., when they were hit from behind by a woman driving a newer model white Ford Expedition.

“She rear-ended me and we both went over the hood and hit her windshield,” said Brandon.

Brandon says several people got the woman's tag number, but it came out registered to another car.

“And she just got away with it and that's not right,” said Brandon's wife and Bradley's mother, Heather Wisda.

Heather tells News 9 they can't afford the medical bills they are left with as a result of the crash.

Even though Bradley's walking, he's still in a lot of pain. And the bandages on his legs cover up what's left of his nasty wounds. And then there are the nightmares he keeps on having.

“He sleeps he tosses and turns and he screams, he screams, ‘Stop! Stop!'” said Heather.

Now this father and son wonder if they will ever ride again… and if police will ever find the woman responsible.

“She really needs to turn herself in. She did a lot of damage to my kid and he's going through a lot of pain,” said Heather.

The family has established a GoFundMe account to try to help cover the cost of their mounting medical bills.
